Pine ladybird

[Morphology] 3 - 5 mm. The black elytra with comma shaped shoulder spots together with the rounded arched body define this ladybird.
The rim of the elytra is wide and very visible and so it can be easily told apart from Chilocorus bipustulatus and Chilocorus renipustulatus
[Ecology] coniferous forest, parks, road shoulders, hedges etc.
[Distribution] Common often on pinus and picea but also on decideous trees
