[Morphology] Very small. Vary variable. Pale to deep brown with typical arched (arcuatus) pattern on the dorsal.

The body is short oval (oblate) and rather convex.
It is covered in pale hairs that are long, flat and not dense.
The head is often white, sometimes reddish brown to deep brownish.
The pronotum ranges from white to deep brownish black with a white frontal corner.

Intermediate forms may have a brown, cat paw like shape.
The elytra are mostly pale brown with the typical arch like structure.
The inside of the arch is often dark.
There are specimen that are completely black apart from one pale spot at the location of the arch.

Antennae, palpae and legs are pale.
The prosternum is very short.
